This Saturday is the President’s Scholars Luncheon! This event is invitation only- for all of our accepted students and their parents. The morning is filled with workshops for students and parents, and at noon starts the luncheon. The workshops are going to be a lot of fun- especially, I think, the one called Getting Involved on Campus- which is a great way for our accepted students to start thinking about what they are going to do on campus in the fall!

The luncheon part of the day is going to be in the Casino, our accepted students will sit with professors and students from their majors. Accepted students will meet current students and other accepted students who they will see on campus! As with every one of our events- the food at this event should be really really good. After the luncheon, tours will be available of the campus; the weather is supposed to be really nice Saturday (finally!), so it will be a great day to see the campus.

Since this event is just for accepted students, if gives us in admissions a chance to see our students again (now that the hard part, getting in to GCU, is over) and welcome them to our community! It should be a great day!

We have so many upcoming events coming up! This Friday is Freshmen Friday. Next Friday is an Instant Decision Day. April 1st is a Campus Overnight experience. April 18th is President’s Scholar Day for accepted students. And April 25th is our last Open House of the Spring! You can register for any of these events and find out more about the specifics of each event on our website www. georgian.edu!

We have been getting a lot of questions about President’s Scholar Day- about what is going on that day. This event is for admitted students only (and their families of course). They are invited to attend different seminars in the morning, followed by a lunch with faculty and students. Admitted students will have their pictures taken receiving their scholarships from GCU.

As for campus events, coming up on March 28th is GCU’s 28th Annual Irish Afternoon starring Ronan Tynan. Check out more info about this event. Also on the 31st, Billy Collins, Ph.D., is coming to speah to campus.
